Join Joe Williams as the compere of a new Axbridge Roxy Comedy Night, featuring Eva Bindeman, Richard James, Julia Stenton, and Axbridge’s Dodgy Keeper Harry Mottram. Hosted by Bash and Gemma at the Roxy Cinema the tickets will go on sale soon.

Oversharing oddball Julia Stenton talks property, puberty and power. Unexpected, witty and engaging Julia’s vivid imagery and acerbic storytelling will take you there. Funny women semi finalist 2019 and Stand Up for Cider finalist 2020 and host of comedy @ the crafty egg

Eva Bindeman is a fresh face on the South West comedy scene bringing a warm, conversational humour to her stand up with a twist of the unexpected. Funny Women 2019 Semi finalist, SYTYF 2019 Semi finalist, and founder of Comedy @ the crafty egg, eva is a comic to look out for in 2020 and beyond.

Richard James from Devon is a member of The Comedy Avengers. ‘Quick wit and hilarious anecdotes more. In an interview with the School of Laughter he said: “Two jokes that I’ve always loved. One is by Robin Williams, ‘Two Cannibals eating a clown, one turns to the other and says ‘Does this taste funny to you?’ And for me the other is one by Matt Lucas as George Dawes when he said ‘I don’t believe in any of that star sign nonsense, but that’s me, typical Pisces.’ “

Harry Mottram is set to preview his one man show Dodgy Keeper – the acclaimed play has toured in previous years to Edinburgh, Bristol, Bath and was sold out in Axbridge. It follows the comic story of yes you’ve guessed in a dodgy goal keeper.

Joe Williams will be your compere – his breakthrough gig was at the last Axbridge comedy night when he proved a confident and witty stand-up – and welcomes you to a night of laughter in which self-isolation jokes may or may not be banned. Now, please wash your hands.
